On an overcast Sunday morning in early February, The Fort Worth Club and its assistant general manager, Michael Thackerson, opened their doors for a period fashion shoot despite the Club’s recognition of the Sabbath — i.e. they were closed. With an uncharacteristically quiet Fort Worth Club at our disposal, we were able to take advantage of incredible locations throughout the Club’s two-story spread — and even its entrance on Sixth Street. Styled by Jenny B. Davis of the SWB Agency, the shoot also included an era-appropriate car, a 1936 810 Cabriolet by Cord, provided by Ron Sturgeon and the DFW Car & Toy Museum — which is merely one of over 200 cars the museum has on display.
Part of the magazine’s March feature that dives into the centennial of The Fort Worth Club’s current home on Seventh Avenue (which you can read here), the fashion shoot spotlights the historic building’s incredible and opulent interior while paying homage to the stylish era in which it was built.
