Stein family’s Valentine’s tradition brings music, joy and heart to Seven Acres

Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services was filled with love and celebration on Sunday, Feb. 15, as longtime supporters Bruce Stein and his family continued their cherished Valentine’s Day tradition.

The Steins welcomed residents from Seven Acres and The Medallion, along with their families and guests, for an afternoon dedicated to music, joy and togetherness. The family has hosted Valentine’s Day at Seven Acres for decades, building a tradition that residents look forward to year after year. Their unwavering generosity has made the holiday a special and meaningful occasion within the community.

This year’s celebration was more memorable, drawing an even larger crowd than last year. Volunteers ranging in age from 8 to 80 years old worked side by side, assisting residents, greeting families, serving refreshments and helping ensure every detail was perfectly executed.

Paul Phillips, Seven Acres Residents Club president, presented Stein with an assortment of nuts from Houston Pecan Company as a thank you from the residents.

The highlight of the afternoon was a lively Valentine concert presented by the Gulf Coast Concert Band, a 35-piece ensemble. The talented musicians filled the room with beloved classics and upbeat tunes that had many in the audience singing along and tapping their feet.

The space was beautifully decorated in Valentine red, pink and white. Guests enjoyed sweet treats and refreshments while spending quality time with loved ones. Smiles, laughter and applause echoed throughout the afternoon, reflecting the sense of connection and community that defines Seven Acres.

Adding to the fun was a beautifully decorated Valentine’s picture wall, where guests and residents gathered to pose for photos. Adorned with festive hearts and colorful décor, the backdrop provided the perfect setting for capturing special memories with friends and loved ones.

Thanks to Bruce Stein and his family’s continued dedication, the annual Valentine’s Day gathering will remain one of the highlights of the year. Their decades-long commitment ensures that residents feel celebrated, appreciated and surrounded by community each Valentine’s Day.
