Aline Maybank, a research associate at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, was selected for the Museum of Science’s inaugural Digital Science Communication Fellowship. Chosen from hundreds of applicants nationwide, Maybank will join a six-month cohort that pairs scientific experts with leading digital creators to strengthen researchers’ ability to share accurate, accessible information across social media, podcasts and other digital platforms.
The fellowship supports projects designed to bridge the gap between scientific expertise and public understanding while combating misinformation and building trust in science. Maybank, who uses digital media to explain the connections between environment and health, previously served as a Voices for Science Fellow with the American Geophysical Union, marking this as her second competitive science communication fellowship.
