Ryzen 7 8700F processor
The Ryzen 7 8700F is commonly found paired with the RTX 5070 in prebuilds, and it’s an excellent processor for gaming and even multitasking, too. It has 8 cores and 16 threads, which means it’s going to be a decent choice for tasks like streaming, running background applications while gaming, and more, and its relatively large 16MB L3 cache combined with its 5GHz boost clock speed make it adept at handling 1440p at high fps and settings. On top of this, it’s an AM5 CPU, so it gives you some headroom to upgrade. Overall, a solid option for the RTX 5070, especially if you’re trying to keep overall build costs a little more manageable.
RTX 5070 graphics card
Essentially, one of the best graphics cards for 1440p you can buy, even though it does have some entry-level 4K capabilities, too. This card is built on Nvidia’s Blackwell Architecture, which gives it the edge over the previous generation and many of the competitor cards from the likes of AMD, at least in an overall sense.
