Greece readies repatriation plan for citizens stranded in UAE

Greece has prepared a repatriation plan for its citizens stranded in the United Arab Emirates amid the Middle East conflict, Deputy Foreign Minister Giannis Loverdos said Tuesday.

Speaking to state broadcaster ERT, Loverdos said about 1,500 Greeks have requested to return home. Some flights are operating from Oman, but none are currently available from Qatar or Dubai.

He urged Greek citizens abroad to follow local authorities’ instructions and said the repatriation plan will be implemented once airspace reopens.
