‘We’re Not Hiding Anything’: Crimson Desert Dev ‘Sick’ of Claims Around No PS5 Footage

With the game launching in 15 days, on 19th March 2026, it sounds like Pearl Abyss still plans on sharing some console footage for Crimson Desert.

In response to the social media post, one fan said: “I think it’s simply the nature of what the game is and your situation. It’s an extremely big, ambitious new IP so some get worried. If this was Crimson Desert 3 and you’d cooked on the last 2 no one would care about a lack of console details.”

Despite the confirmation of PS5 Pro enhancements, we don’t know what sort of resolutions or frame rates Crimson Desert will be aiming for on consoles, nor if there’ll be any graphics or performance modes.

Another commented: “I understand it can get frustrating replying and responding to all the people asking for console footage but that’s because we’ve seen this before with Cyberpunk 2077 where they held back console footage until the very last minute and players found out that it was a mess.”

What do you make of this? Do you need to see console footage before buying Crimson Desert on PS5, as long as the game is actually good? Let us know in the comments below.
