She’s even set to perform at Coachella next month. I guess you could say she’s in her “lucky era,” which is fitting given her ongoing collaboration with Lucky Brand jeans.
Today, Rae and Lucky Brand debuted the next chapter of their partnership by launching the Addison Ultra Low Short. The two previously dropped a low-rise flare jean that sold out many times over to much fanfare. “I definitely had a magic feeling about the [first] launch, but the scale of the response honestly surpassed expectations,” Rae exclusively told ELLE.com via email. “I poured a lot of heart into designing that jean, and to see it sell out multiple times was rewarding. It reminded me just how much people love and admire pieces that feel personal, expressive, and sexy.”

Ahead of festival season, Rae caught up with ELLE.com to chat all things style, performing at Coachella, and how she continues to make her own luck.
How will you style the Addison shorts?
For me, the perfect silhouette of shorts is all about versatility and movement. I love pairing mine with accessories, like hats, pins, or a belt. These are pieces you can dress up with your highest heels or down with flip-flops or boots depending on your mood! I even love them barefoot or with a pair of knee-high socks.
Are you excited for festival season?
Festival season always excites me, but this year feels especially full of surprises. I get to travel to so many places I have never seen before and interact with fans from all over the world! There’s something so freeing about stepping onto big stages to share music you’ve worked so hard on and looking out to see people making memories to it. It feels like everything is flowing in a way that is really aligned for me.
What are your festival must-haves?
Something I can dance in! You’ll see me wearing anything from my favorite bras, garters, denim, boots, flip-flops—you name it, I have probably worn it on stage or in the field!
How can I get into my own “lucky era”?
Everything starts with claiming it. You don’t wait for life, you decide you’re taking it! It’s in how you carry yourself, how you dress, how you prepare, and most importantly, how you perform. Be prepared for anything.
