We’re now into March, and Prime Video — like all the best streaming services — has just added a huge batch of new movies to its library. If you take a look at what’s new on Prime Video in March 2026, you’ll see that Amazon’s streamer has just bolstered its library with 51 new movies on March 1, but there’s one in particular that I’d urge you to check out, because it’s one of the most fun movies I’ve seen in years.
That would be Tom Gormican’s “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, a hilariously meta buddy action-comedy starring Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal that hit theaters back in 2022. It’s an incredibly silly action romp, and brilliantly entertaining from the jump.

Tom Gormican’s “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” finds Nicolas Cage (playing himself) somewhat adrift. Facing financial woes, the unfulfilled, struggling actor is presented with a lifeline in the form of a lucrative job offer: attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan, Javi Gutierrez (Pedro Pascal), and walk away one million dollars richer.
Things take an even stranger turn when he touches down for the event, and he ends up recruited for a mission by the CIA, a mission that drags him and his nearest and dearest into danger and forces Cage to channel some of his most famous characters to save the day.
Alongside Cage and Pascal, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” also features Tiffany Haddish, Sharon Horgan, Neil Patrick Harris, Lily Sheen, and Ike Barinholtz (among others).
Should you stream ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ on Prime Video?
“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” is a silly, entertaining meta romp that should liven up a mid-week movie night with plenty of laughs.
It works so well because our two main movie stars are so committed to the chaos. Cage is brilliant as a heightened, enigmatic version of himself, and his energy is complemented by Pedro Pascal’s starstruck superfan, a turn that has had me keen to see Pascal land more comedic roles ever since.
Across its breezy runtime, I’m confident you’ll have fun with this love letter/spoof of Cage’s career up to this point. It’s definitely reliant on Cage’s meme status, and the whole CIA storyline might not be the most engaging plot, but the central bromance is so entertaining that I’m confident it’ll pull anyone through the film. Frankly, it’s worth seeing just to watch a hyper-dramatic sequence that sees Cage and Javi wrestling with the impossible task of… circumnavigating a wall.
“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” comes well-recommended from countless film fans, too; it’s got identical 87% scores on from critics and moviegoers alike over on the review aggregate site, Rotten Tomatoes, with a critics’ consensus that reads: “Smart, funny, and wildly creative, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” presents Nicolas Cage in peak gonzo form — and he’s matched by Pedro Pascal’s scene-stealing performance.”
Variety‘s Owen Gleiberman called it “a commercial comedy that has a delirious good time poking fun at Nicolas Cage, celebrating everything that makes him Nicolas Cage — and, in the end, actually becoming a Nicolas Cage movie, which turns out to be both a cheesy thing and a special thing.”
Similarly, it earned a four-star verdict from Empire‘s Dan Jolin, who summed the film up as “a big, silly, scrappy bundle of fun, packed with Cage-related Easter eggs and in-jokes, but also a whole lotta heart.”
