The Runway Trends from Fashion Week FW26

The Fall/Winter 2026 season of fashion month is in full swing, with Copenhagen Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, London and Milan already over, and Paris firmly underway.

In New York, we saw the evolution of fringing through hair as fashion, evidenced on the runway SHOWPONY and Charlie Le Mindu, further displayed in Paris by Hodakova. In London, textured leather trousers made a big comeback courtesy of Daniel Fletcher’s Mithridate, followed by GCDS in Milan and now, OFF-WHITE in Paris.

Elsewhere, our favorite female designers seem to be bringing laces back, but not as we know them. For FW26, there’s been an influx of lace-up footwear silhouettes and corset-inspired detailing, showcased at Marni, Prada and OFF-WHITE.

Ahead, we take a look at the biggest runway trends spotted this season so far, from textured trousers, hairy clothing and lace-up booties.

Textured Trousers

Leather trousers have always been fashionable, but this season, it felt like they came back in a big way. Debuted on the runways at Mithridate, Off-White and GCDS, FW26’s trousers are ultra-shiny, ultra-textured and come with subtle prints. Shiny snakeprint paved the way at GCDS, while Croc-like textures made a return at Mithridate and Off-White.

Hair as a Detail

SHOWPONY and Charlie Le Mindu brought hair back in New York, utilizing it to create textured tops, briefs and even shoes — not far off from LOEWE’s previous iterations. Elsewhere, Seoul-based label Maison Kimhekim also debuted hair-based silhouettes, crafting full dresses with the material.

Lace-up Footwear

Finally, it wouldn’t be fashion week without a footwear focus and this season, laces are in. Evidenced by Prada and Marni, who both showcased corset-inspired lace-up boots in contrasting colorways, today’s Off-White show also featured a slew of lace-up kitten heels. Outside of the runways, we’ve seen corset lacing make a comeback at Jimmy Choo, an integral part of the brand’s Scarlett pump design, along with new London-based label Lili Curia.
