Mark Williams to be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks

Phoenix Suns starting center Mark Williams will be reevaluated in two to three weeks for a left foot stress reaction, according to the team.

He had already been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bulls after being listed with left foot soreness on the NBA injury report.

Williams has appeared in a career-high 56 regular season games and is averaging 11.6 points (on 63.3% shooting), 8.1 rebounds and an assist per game. He has made 52 starts and logged 23.6 minutes per contest.

Second-year pro Oso Ighodaro and rookie Khaman Maluach will now be in line for a boost in on-court time as Phoenix (No. 7 seed) fights to get out of the Western Conference play-in picture.
