Forza Horizon 6 has a brand-new gameplay video that’s doing the rounds, but it’s not being met with the best reception. The video, which showcases nearly 10 minutes of raw footage of the open world in Japan, raises a major concern.
It looks almost like there’s no traffic on the roads. In the comments under the video, prospective fans of this year’s Forza Horizon offering are debating the ‘dead city’ concept and suggesting that Playground Games needs to massively ramp up the traffic density in this title.
Will Forza Horizon 6 Have Painful Traffic Mechanics?
There’s something exhilarating about zipping down the road in Forza Horizon games, sitting behind the wheel of a souped-up supercar and whipping in and out of traffic.
However, the latest Forza Horizon 6 gameplay video to surface suggests that players might be doing a little less of that in this game, which is set to drop on May 19.
The exclusive, first-look video was uploaded by IGN recently, and it showcases nearly 10 minutes of footage. However, you can probably count on one hand the number of ‘other cars’ on the road. It doesn’t matter if the player is on country lanes, sprawling highways, or dense, urban tracks; the number of cars doesn’t really change.

It’s glaringly noticeable in some sequences. These inter-city highways that should theoretically accommodate thousands of cars have two or three at the most.
Sure, Forza Horizon 6 looks gorgeous, and the world of Japan has been faithfully recreated, but fans are complaining that it feels dead.
