The Ryzen 7 7700X is a solid, more affordable alternative to the likes of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the latter of which is often found paired with the RTX 5080 in prebuilds and is superior for gaming. That said, when it comes to bang-for-your-buck, the 7 7700X is a real winner, boasting a high 5.4Ghz boost clock speed, alongside a large 32MB L3 cache, which makes it more than adept at pushing out high fps at 1440p and 4K. On top of that, it has a decent 8 cores and 16 threads, which make it decent for multitasking, and handling anything from streaming to complex video editing. RTX 5080 graphics card
For 4K gaming and ray tracing, alongside top-tier 1440p performance, the RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can go for. It’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, so you’re getting a whole host of improvements across the board. For example, you’ve got 16GB of GDDR7, which is significantly faster and has higher bandwidth than GDDR6. You’ve also got 4th-gen ray tracing cores, which are twice as fast as the previous-gen and able to handle more complex scenarios and leverage AI easier, for even better shadows, reflections, and lighting effects. RAM and storage
Unsurprisingly, you’ve got 32GB of DDR5 and a 2TB SSD in this build, which is pretty standard for RTX 5080 prebuilds. 32GB is going to ensure that you can run demanding titles, like open-world games and simulators, at max settings, and that they run smoothly when doing so. For example, spinning the camera fast in Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K with ray tracing can be quite jumpy if you have 16GB of DDR5, but with 32GB it should be far more fluid. The 2TB SSD is also a win, especially as games are starting to topple over 100GB nowadays.
Things to consider
As I mentioned before, you’re going to find better gaming performance with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D build, but these come at a premium price point, and it’s incredibly unlikely to find a Skytech King 95 with one for under $2,700. That said, if you hunt around, you could find something for the same price, but it will likely scale back on build quality and be a bit more basic, in general.
