City suspended two employees Wednesday after state AG found tourism bureau broke gaming laws

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – A Beulah City Council member is speaking out after the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau was found to have violated state gaming laws.

The city suspended two employees on Wednesday after the state attorney general’s office found that the tourism bureau had violated those laws.

City Council Vice President Adam Baker said the city is taking the matter seriously.

“The citizens are concerned, and we are taking it serious. We’re concerned too. So, we just have to look at and see what the evidence shows us and then make some, you know, decisions going down the road,” Baker said.

A special meeting is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. A city attorney will be present.
