Hornets Bowling Finish Strong After Slow Start on Day Onet the Music City Classic


NASHVILLE, Tenn. |  Alabama State University women’s bowling opened play at the 2026 Music City Classic on Friday at the Smyrna Bowling Center, finishing day one with a 2-3 record in Baker matches against a 34-team field hosted by Vanderbilt University.

The Hornets knocked off Long Island University and No. 16 Maryland Eastern Shore, while falling to Carroll University, Belmont Abbey and UAB during the opening day of qualifying.

Alabama State sits 19th overall after the first five Baker matches with a total pinfall of 4,640 and a 185.6 average per game.
