PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — An investigation is underway after a local non-profit reported “financial irregularities.”
During a recent internal audit, METEC Resource Center found out about the irregularities that were caused by a previous employee, said Executive Director Diana Martinez.
In keeping with their policies, the incident was documented and reported to the Peoria Police Department.
Martinez said METEC is working with authorities for any review or investigation related to this. Due to the situation under review, no other details are being released at this time.
