Lima Symphony Orchestra celebrates American music with “American Songbook” concert | Allen County


LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – What better way to kick off 250 years of America other than music.

The Lima Symphony Orchestra performed their take on American music, titling the concert “American Songbook”. Making this their 4th performance of the season, the orchestra was pleased to show all their hard work for this concert. From Broadway stages to concert halls, this music shares the diversity of America. With special guest vocalist, Tracy Cantin, the orchestra highlighted important aspects of history while creating beautiful music.

“American music, and the American Songbook has really shaped our culture, and it’s inspired the culture of so many other nations and people around the world. So, it’s a great moment to reflect on where we’ve come and how this art form has shaped our nation,” says Andrew Crust, Music Director of Lima Symphony Orchestra.
