Greece, N.Y. — With Thanksgiving just two weeks from tomorrow, the gift of generosity is needed for local families.
The Fill an Ambulance food drive started in Greece on Wednesday at the Lakeshore Fire Station and will be at other firehouses across town on certain days through November 23.
Anyone can stop by and donate non-perishable food for families in need.
“There’s a surplus of need everywhere,” said Audrey Kinsella of Monroe Ambulance. “There’s kind of a lot of food drives going on, so we’re fully supporting that as well. We would love to see people come out here and give in any way they can just spreading the word and spreading the love this season.”
The next food drive is Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Barnard Fire House on Dewey Avenue.
