AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Community members and sustainability advocates came together for a fashion show while raising recycling awareness.
The show was held at Better World Studios, featuring work created with upcycled and recycled materials.
The work was created by a fashion design class led by award-winning designer Felina Martin.
“There is tremendous waste in the fashion industry, and we really want to be a part where at better renew studios, being able to educate people on being innovative and doing some collaborative work with really changing sustainability and fashion waste,” Martin said.
There were also raffle, door prizes and a vendor marketplace.
