We like to take a look at all of the top paid games on Steam from the previous week, as this gives us an idea about what’s performing well in the industry. It’s a great way to find new titles coming out, great discounts, and more.
The Top Paid series started because we didn’t anticipate the dominance of free-to-play titles in the Top Selling series. To that end, we wanted to offer a space for those who don’t like free-to-play experiences, instead preferring paid ones.
Still, to remain honest with the actual numbers, we’re including everything — including titles with AI-generated content inside of them. This is to track how communities and audiences are responding to games with AI Generated Content Disclosures, while being honest about what we can expect, but we’re adding an extra bullet point item for these to keep our readers informed.
