Blue Raiders secure series sweep in dominant fashion

KENNESAW, Ga. – Middle Tennessee Softball (11-10, 3-0 CUSA) dominated Kennesaw State (4-17, 0-3 CUSA) to sweep the opening Conference USA series against the Owls. The Blue Raiders defeated the Owls by a score of 15-4 in five innings.

Middle Tennessee struck first, Mady Pint knocking an RBI single in the top of the first to take the lead early. The Owls tied the game in the second, but the Blue Raiders took the lead back in the third inning, Macie Harter and Kennedy Chatman combining to bring in three more Middle Tennessee runs. The Blue Raiders piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth thanks to a two-run home run from Pint, but the fifth inning is where Middle Tennessee took over the game.
