Baby Yoda isn’t going to speak in The Mandalorian and Grogu, according to Kathleen Kennedy.
Despite some curious gurgles in the upcoming Star Wars movie’s trailer, where it sounds suspiciously like the macaron-loving littlun says “yes” to a creature asking if he’s scared, the outgoing Lucasfilm president described The Child as “another perfect example of a character that has to emote and you have to feel connected to.”
Starring Sigourney Weaver, Pedro Pascal, and the voice talents of Jeremy Allen White and Martin Scorsese, The Mandalorian and Grogu will see bounty hunter Din Djarin and the titular Force wielder team up with the New Republic following the fall of the Empire – and take a stand against the scattered warlords of the Imperial Army.
