The festival will start at 6 p.m. Friday, July 17 at the Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on the IU Indianapolis campus.
INDIANAPOLIS — The lineup has dropped for this summer’s Music Heritage Festival in downtown Indianapolis!
Three-time Grammy-nominated R&B artist KEM will headline the festival. He is known for his smooth vocals and hits “Love Calls,” “I Can’t Stop Living You” and “Share My Life.”
Other artists performing include October London, King George and Midnight Star.
October London, a South Bend, Indiana native, is a singer-songwriter known for his soulful, contemporary sound and lyricism.
King George is a rising Southern soul and R&B singer-songwriter that blends old-school south with modern vibes.
Iconic R&B band Midnight Star is known for their hits “No Parking (On the Dance Floor)” and “Freak-a-Zoid,” and their sound helped define the funk era of the 1980s.
The Music Heritage Festival is part of the Indiana Black Expo’s annual Summer Celebration.

“The Music Heritage Festival Outdoor Concert remains a highlight of Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration, one of the nation’s largest cultural celebrations of African American achievement, culture and community,” a spokesperson for IBE said in a news release.
The festival will start at 6 p.m. Friday, July 17 at the Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on the IU Indianapolis campus, located at 1001 W. New York St. This will be a rain-or-shine event.
