“Dёmin is expected to return to basketball activity early in the offseason and be a full participant in the summer development program,” the Nets said on Monday.
Dёmin appeared in 52 games and started in 45 during his first year for the Nets.
Strong debut in the NBA
The 8th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft posted averages of 10.3 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.2 rebounds this season.
Dёmin shined as a three-point shooter for the Nets this season. He knocked down 38.5% of his 3-point attempts this year.
The former BYU standout set an NBA rookie record of 34 consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer.
Dёmin’s 38.5% shooting percentage from three-point range is the best by a rookie in Nets history.
The play on the floor gave Dёmin a spot in the NBA Rising Stars game during NBA All-Star Weekend last month in Los Angeles.
The Brooklyn Nets have the fourth-worst record in the NBA this season at 17-47 with 18 games remaining.
