Luka Doncic Loses NBA Weekly Honor to Victor Wembanyama


San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama clinched the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week accolade for March 2–8. He led San Antonio and its personnel to a perfect four-game winning streak. Wembanyama averaged 26.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 4.8 blocks per game.

He defeated arch-rival Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers. Although Doncic performed a 35-point masterclass in New York, Wembanyama remained the dominant asset. He recorded 38 points and 16 rebounds against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.

Tyler Herro earned the Eastern Conference honor for the Miami Heat. He returned to health after early-season injuries. Herro averaged 26.3 points, and Miami is on a five-game win streak.
