(GALLOWAY, NJ) — Stockton Performing Arts Center presents Altan: Music of Ireland on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2:00pm. Altan is regarded as one of the most popular Irish traditional bands of all time and is celebrating forty years on the road! Limited tickets remain.
Being the first-ever Irish traditional band signed to a major record label (Virgin Records 1994) they went on to sell over a million records. Their latest album ‘Donegal’ was released by Nashville based Compass Records and has received widespread positive reviews.
The band has its original members, with founding lead singer and fiddler, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, and core musicians Ciaran Curran on bouzouki and Mark Kelly on guitar. Accordion player Martin Tourish has been recording and touring with the group for over fifteen years, and the latest addition to Altan’s lineup is the wonderful, young fiddler and singer, Clare Friel. She is steeped in the tradition of her Donegal ancestors!
They have shared their music and musicianship with The Chieftains, Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, John Prine, and more, and today continue to bring their native music to world-renowned stages.
Tickets are available for purchase online. Stockton Performing Arts Center is located at 101 Vera King Farris Drive in Galloway, New Jersey.
