Josh Safdie directed Marty Supreme and co-wrote the screenplay with Ronald Bronstein. The 2025 American sports comedy-drama stars Timothée Chalamet as Marty Mauser, a table tennis player loosely inspired by real-life champion Marty Reisman. The cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.
The film takes place in 1950s New York City and follows Mauser as he pursues a world table tennis championship. He also seeks recognition and professional success in the sport. Central Pictures produced the film, and A24 distributed it. Darius Khondji served as cinematographer, and Daniel Lopatin composed the score.
Marty Supreme premiered at the New York Film Festival in October last year. A24 released the film in the U.S. on December 25, 2025. It became available on video-on-demand platforms on February 10, 2026.
