A wave of nostalgia and high-energy hip-hop is rolling into Fort Worth as B2K, Bow Wow and Waka Flocka Flame team up for a tour that bridges eras of urban music.
First rising to fame in the early 2000s, B2K — the R&B quartet behind hits like “Uh Huh” and “Bump, Bump, Bump” — helped define a generation with their smooth harmonies and slick choreography. Though the group disbanded at the peak of their popularity, their reunion in recent years has reignited fan passion and proved the enduring appeal of their dance-ready sound.
Alongside them is Bow Wow, who debuted as Lil’ Bow Wow in the late ’90s under producer Jermaine Dupri’s mentorship and quickly became a fixture in mainstream hip-hop with charting singles and movie roles. His blend of rap and pop sensibilities has kept audiences engaged through decades of shifting musical trends.
Adding a different energy to the lineup is Waka Flocka Flame, the Atlanta rapper whose raw, hyped delivery on tracks like “No Hands” helped define the trap movement of the late 2000s and 2010s.
Jeremih, Pretty Ricky and Amerie are also on the bill as the “Boys 4 Life Tour” hits Dickies Arena.
