As the name suggests, Reality Bites captures post-college malaise in the mid-90s, via characters in a wardrobe of button-up shirts, fine knits and calf-length skirts. As Lelaina, Winona Ryder drifts through the film in slouchy tailoring and simple dresses, all topped off with a perfectly messy crop. One for the despondent and the well-dressed.
