Teen arrested after vehicle crashes into Macy’s entrance

A 14-year-old was arrested Thursday after allegedly driving through a store inside Fashion Fair and fleeing.

Officers responded just after 8 a.m. to the Macy’s men’s store after a vehicle drove the entry doors, exited on the other side and then fled.

The store was closed, but employees were inside, police said.

Officers found the teen nearby and they were taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of auto theft and felony vandalism.

Police said the teen was driving his parents’ vehicle without permission.

No one was injured, police said, and the store remained closed for the rest of the day.
