Kings fans will have to wait a little longer before they can see Keegan Murray play again this season.
Sacramento announced Friday that Murray is progressing in his recovery from a left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in two more weeks.
Murray sustained the injury against the Houston Rockets on Feb. 25.
If Murray is re-evaluated on March 27 and cleared to play, he would have a chance to play in the final eight regular-season games.
After playing in at least 76 games in each of his first three NBA seasons, Murray has appeared in just 23 games this season as injuries have derailed his campaign.
In those 23 contests, Murray is averaging 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.5 minutes.
But with the Kings battling the Indiana Pacers for the NBA’s worst record and draft positioning, it might not make sense for them to bring Murray back at all this season.
