Utah Jazz Sign Bez Mbeng to 10-Day Contract


SALT LAKE CITY (March 13, 2026) – The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed guard Bez Mbeng (EM-bang) to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released. In a corresponding roster move, the team ended the 10-day contract of center Mo Bamba.

Mbeng (6-4, 185, Yale) has appeared in 41 games (12 starts) for the NBA G League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, averaging 6.5 points on 49.5 percent from the field, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 steals in 27.5 minutes per game. He recorded 13 double-figure scoring games and notched a triple-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists against Rio Grande Valley on Feb. 19.

A native of Potomac, Md., Mbeng played four collegiate seasons at Yale (2021-25), appearing in 120 games (109 starts), averaging 9.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals in 28.6 minutes per game. He was named the 2024-25 Ivy League Player of the Year and earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year honors in three consecutive seasons (2023-25). Mbeng was also named to the 2024-25 All-Ivy League First Team and the 2023-24 All-Ivy League Second Team.

Bamba (7-0, 231, Texas) appeared in two games for the Jazz, averaging 5.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in 19.0 minutes per game.
