Paris Fashion Week has officially drawn to a close, leaving behind a feast of outfit inspiration. Yes, I’m looking to other women my age for ideas—and men, too (looking at you, Hudson Williams)—but in a pleasant surprise, Oprah Winfrey, who is 45 years my senior, stepped out in a copy-worthy denim cut that’s been co-signed again and again by twenty-something It Girls like Hailey Bieber: wide-leg jeans. Oprah styled hers with a cropped, billowy suede jacket, an off-white bag, and snake-print heels, which got me thinking about how I’d style those very same jeans.

With that mission in mind, I took to Amazon to find pieces that would complement and elevate any pair of wide-leg jeans, and I found a ton of fabulous options that fit the bill. Pulling from splashy brands like Kate Spade and Free People to lesser-known heavy hitters, I built out my dream wide-leg-jean-based outfits, starting at just $8.
This classic, staple pair of wide-leg jeans comes in so many washes it’s hard to know where to start—but that’s where I come in. I love how the above hue toes the line between a traditional light wash and distinct vintage vibes. You get stylish side seams, a cool raw hem, and intentional fading through the thighs.
I’d pair these jeans with a boat-neck top—my favorite neckline these days—and an oversized vegan-leather bomber jacket to complement the denim’s retro energy. Add slim Adidas Samba sneakers, which currently have a chokehold on New York City cool girls, and finish it off with a spill-proof crossbody that’s both practical and super cute.
I’m a ride-or-die Levi’s jeans fan, so it’s no surprise I was instantly drawn to this cut. The extra-long, leg-lengthening silhouette is very in right now, and it pairs especially well with a chunky sneaker for a little lift. One shopper noted that the construction of this denim feels “thick but not heavy,” while another called the pair “flattering with nice stretch.” I could see styling this pick with a cropped cardigan, some platform Reeboks, and a polished, woven shoulder bag.
The pleats on this baggy, wide-leg pair of $35 Gap jeans steal the show. I’d treat the detail as an opportunity to build out a slightly dressier look—starting with an oversized button-down, which is a piece Oprah reaches for again and again. Add platform loafers from Sam Edelman in a totally chic oxblood hue, layer on a longline trench, and finish with a geometric JW Pei bag that appeared on Oprah’s 2024 Favorite Things list.
These pre-cuffed jeans add an instant air of sophistication to even the most casual outfits, and they cut out the middleman—a.k.a. you bending over countless times a day to re-cuff. They’re a bit more tailored than some other wide-leg options, but still accomplish that leg-lengthening look. One shopper shared that they were comfy enough to wear postpartum, even saying that putting them on “feels like I’m wearing my leggings.”
I’d opt for a slouchy, stripey top here, plus ballet sneakers—a Nicole Kidman-approved trend. Then I’d throw on this gorgeous suede jacket from Free People and a durable but still-chic Baggu bag.
The combination of high-rise and wide-leg simply can’t be beaten—just take it from this Levi’s Ribcage cut. I’d grab this pair in a black wash and style it with silver ballet flats, some gold-plated earrings, and these can’t-miss sunglasses that look way more expensive than they actually are. Topping it all off with a Kate Spade bag is the way to go, especially in its cherry red hue, which complements the silver of the shoes really nicely.
Head to Amazon to shop more It Girl jeans ahead of spring.
