Starfield’s Future Will Be Unveiled Next Week by Bethesda

Everyone who loves Starfield is eager to know what’s coming next for the game. Recently, Bethesda Game Studios once again invited select creators (but of course) to exclusive previews for Starfield’s impending ‘overhaul’, giving them a sneak peek at what’s in store for the space-faring RPG epic.

Todd Howard has tempered expectations by saying it’s not Starfield 2.0, but it’s more likely fresh information about Terran Armada, the game’s painfully late second expansion. It’s also going to be more on the massive update that’s supposed to make the game even better for those who already love it.

But If You Didn’t Like It, Tough.

Todd Howard said in a recent interview that, if you didn’t gel with Starfield, the incoming supersized update won’t change that. It’s not about making you fall in love with the game if you didn’t enjoy it in the first place. Instead, it’ll take those who adored the game the first time around and make them even more enthralled by it.

That’s not a lot to go on, but there we go.

Last year, Bethesda Game Studios teased Terran Armada, which everyone believes is the name for the game’s second expansion, which is massively overdue. Bethesda has been awfully short with fans regarding the second expansion, which should have been fully unveiled months ago.

Before launch, we were promised one major expansion a year. The game’s first expansion, Shattered Space, was known about long before the game hit the market in 2023, but until now, all we have regarding the game’s second expansion is a potential name. We’re left to wonder what Terran Armada is, but it’s all based on conjecture.

Now, in a new post on social media, the Bethesda Game Studios team let slip that something is being revealed next week for Starfield. When responding to an article talking about Todd Howard being a ‘visionary’, the team wrote

We ran this by Todd and he said his only visionary power is seeing running lanes in EA College Football 26. He appreciates all the passionate feedback on Starfield and we’ll have more to share next week.

Starfield is preparing to land on PlayStation 5 consoles next month, broadening the game’s horizons immeasurably and opening it up to an entirely new audience. However, some feel that the global expansion is too little, too late, when Bethesda Game Studios has allowed the game to wither under the weight of almost no tangible or meaningful updates over the years.

This could be a turning point for Starfield, though. If the PlayStation 5 launch hits hard, the next expansion is unveiled, and it looks superb, and there’s enough meat on whatever update is coming to entice players back into the fold, it could lead to a resurgence.

That’s sorely needed for Starfield.
