Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival returns after two-year hiatus

Four days, dozens of headliners, and plenty of surprises as Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival returns Thursday after a two-year break.

OMF will kick off Thursday and run through Sunday at Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee County.

Since its launch in 2016, the festival has become known for combining live music, art installations, and camping in the scenic Florida countryside, according to organizers.

The 2026 lineup features headliners The Lumineers, GRiZ, TPain, LCD Soundsystem, FISHER, and Cage the Elephant, with additional performers including Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Dirty Heads, Japanese Breakfast, Paris Texas, Beltran, BigXThaPlug, Tycho, Young the Giant, and The Disco Biscuits.

New additions this year include the Aquachobee Dub Reggae Takeover and the returning PoWoW! all-star jam session.

In addition to the music, the festival also organized activities including the wig snatching challenge, love in the portal speed dating, sand castle art, sound baths, a corn hole tournament, shuffle classes, goat yoga, build-a-bubble, Family Feud, and more.

The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists that event-related traffic will begin increasing before the festival. Starting Monday, vendor equipment, support vehicles, and tractor-trailers will arrive as crews build the festival footprint. Drivers should expect heavy truck traffic, temporary traffic adjustments, and a strong law enforcement presence at key intersections to assist with traffic flow.

Traffic is already elevated due to the Okeechobee County Fair, and the combination of both events may cause delays. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and exercise patience while traveling through the area. Restaurants, grocery stores, fuel stations, and other retail locations may also see heavier-than-normal customer traffic.

Attendees who have purchased tickets can pick them up early at Will Call, open March 18–19, 2026, at the Okeechobee County Cattlemen’s Arena, 1885 U.S. Highway 441 North. Early pickup is recommended to help reduce congestion at the festival entrance.

Festival organizers say OMF continues to prioritize sustainability, with measures in place to protect Sunshine Grove’s natural environment and wildlife.
