Celtic band thanks community with a live album ahead of St. Patrick’s Day

The Kilmaine Saints thanked their fans and community with a concert and live album on Saturday.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — For the Kilmaine Saints the audience is more than just a crowd singing along to their music.

With Saint Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, celebrations are underway this weekend, and the Celtic rock band helped get the party started in Harrisburg by using a live album recording to say thank you to the community.

“They enjoy the music; they enjoy the show that we put on,” said Brendan Power, the lead singer of the Kilmaine Saints. “They become friends. A lot of the people that come around all the time, help with merch even, have just become really, really close friends and like family.”

With an audience that feels like family, the Central Pa. based band wanted to do something to show their appreciation for the community that has supported them for over 15 years. Starting out playing at local venues, the band has gone on to play all over the country, but they have not forgotten their roots.

“It’s only natural to do something like this for our fans, the people who have supported us for so long at this point,” said Gary Eurice, the band’s fiddle player. “And we are kind of thinking of this album as like just one big thank you to the people in Harrisburg who have supported us for this long.”

Recording the album at XL Live in Harrisburg gave the Kilmaine Saints a perfect opportunity to showcase their unique sound and brand of rock music, and with a live album the crowd is more than just spectators.

“The whole point of a live album is really to play well but capture that energy on stage as well as the crowd’s energy and then being behind the music and having a good time.” says Power

The album will be available for purchase at the Kilmaine Saint’s concerts and on their website.
