Now this is a seriously good deal, and well worth checking out. This Skytech Azure 3 gaming PC is now $300 off at Newegg, and has been reduced from $2,999.99 to $2,699.99, which is a very competitive price for this type of build. The Azure 3 lineup is always a great place to look for gaming PCs that pack a punch in terms of performance, but aren’t as pricey as some of the, say, King 95 series, which can easily come in at over $3,000 for an RTX 5080 option. This PC packs 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD, but the big thing here is its Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, which is a beast for gaming at high fps with low frame latency, thanks to its unique 3D V-cache technology. Overall, this prebuild is going to be great for gaming in 1440p and 4K, and also make short work of a wide variety of creative and productivity tasks, too. For the price, it’s a real winner, and well worth considering.

Key features of this Skytech Azure 3 RTX 5080 gaming PC
RAM and storage
In this build, you’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is pretty typical for most RTX 5080 builds. Where this is most noticeable, compared to 16GB, is when it comes to gaming at max settings in open-world games and simulators, as these games eat up a lot of RAM as standard. If you’re, say, spinning the camera fast in a game like Cyberpunk 2077, with this amount of RAM it’ll be much smoother, so it’s a good choice if you’re into more immersive titles. For creatives, it’s going to help keep everything feeling fast and responsive, with that making edits in 3D or timeline scrubbing in 4K. It will also help with running heavy applications at the same time and reduce the chances of your system grinding to a halt. For storage, there’s a 1TB SSD, which is fine if you don’t plan on building a huge gaming library, and the more modest size does help keep overall costs down, too, which is always a win.
RTX 5080 graphics card
Pretty much the best graphics card you can get, aside from the super-expensive RTX 5090 that is. Compared to the more affordable RTX 5070 Ti model, the 5080 is more suited to 4K and ray tracing, although it does have the same amount of GDDR7 VRAM, coming in at 16GB. Despite this, the RTX 5080 generally has high memory bandwidth and faster speeds than the 5070 Ti, again, making it more suitable for 4K at max settings and more demanding creative workflows. It’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, so you’re getting 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, both of which help it pull away from the competition, especially when it comes to AI capabilities and performance. You’ve got MFG, which can help boost perceived fps by leveraging AI to insert multiple frames between ‘real’ ones. This is good for certain types of games and comes into its own with more immersive titles, contributing to an overall smoother gaming experience. Check out our full RTX 5080 review for a deeper dive.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor
Still one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, even with the recently released, slightly more powerful Ryzen 7 9850X3D readily available, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is ideal for those looking to get the most out of the RTX 5080’s gaming capabilities. Building on the already amazing architecture of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the 9800X3D introduced more advanced thermals, alongside a slightly higher boost clock speed of 5.2Ghz, compared to the 7800X3D’s 5Ghz. The L3 cache remains the same, at a massive 96MB, courtesy of AMD’s unique 3D V-cache technology, which allows for far more data to be stored for quick access. This results in significantly higher fps and extremely low frame latency, too. As for multitasking, while some Intel options are arguably better suited, it’s still very capable at handling anything from streaming, applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and Blender, which work best with a CPU with more cores and threads, and running background applications, like Discord. Take a look at our review to see how it got on in our testing lab.
Things to consider
The only real consideration is the CPU and whether you want something with a higher core count. Higher core counts are going to be better for you if you’re primarily using your PC for content creation, video editing, working in 3D, or anything else that requires good multithreaded performance. I’d say an affordable way to go is with the Intel Core Ultra 7-265K, or if you want something pretty hardcore for gaming, but not quite as future proof, the Intel i9-14900K is going to be a good shout, although make sure you’re getting a build with a very powerful cooler, as it runs hotter than a collapsing star.
