Ice Cube’s War of the Worlds was named 2025’s worst movie after earning five Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture, Director, Actor, Screenplay, and Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.
The science fiction movie is based on the 1898 novel by H. G. Wells, the same source material used in Tom Cruise’s 2005 movie. Unlike Ice Cube’s version, the Steven Spielberg production was a critical and commercial success.
