The expansion of digital transformation in hotels has allowed the development of private booking platforms for each complex, as a result of which the need for a hotel to resort to sales through Booking.com or other similar websites, such as Expedia, has begun to be limited.
Greece has surpassed the average digital governance score of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Digital Governance Ministry said.
Greece ranked 14th among 36 OECD member states with a score of 0.71, slightly above the average of 0.70, according to the ministry.
The ministry added that the result reflects progress in the digital transformation of the public sector, including the development of the gov.gr platform, the Gov.gr Wallet and the modernization of digital public services.
The evaluation is based on data from the period 2023-2024 and does not reflect Greece’s most recent initiatives, the ministry said.
The next evaluation cycle of the OECD will cover the period 2025-2026.
