SEGA has announced new playable characters coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds over the coming months as part of the game’s wider “Patch 3” update, including Red from Angry Birds, Goro Majima from Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Arle from the Puyo Puyo series.
The full list of upcoming free content is as follows:
- Red (April 2026)
- Red from Angry Birds as a playable character
- Super Roaster vehicle
- Goro Majima (Captain Majima) (April 2026)
- Goro Majima (Captain Majima) as a playable character
- Goromaru vehicle
- Arle (May 2026)
- Arle from Puyo Puyo as a playable character
- Twinkle Bayoen vehicle
Eight new songs are also coming to the in-game jukebox, including:
- “MAGICAL SOUND SHOWER” by Hiro (from Out Run)
- “Let’s Go Away” by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (from Daytona USA)
- “Soul on Desert” by Jun Senoue (from SEGA Rally 2)
- “Like The Wind (B Course) Arcade Version” by Hiro (from Power Drift)
- “Outside a Crisis” by SEGA (Katsuhiro “Funky K.H” Hayashi) (from Super Hang-on)
- “Main Theme (Enduro Racer)” by Hiro (from Enduro Racer)
- “God Only Knows” by A-One
- “Like the Wind (Reborn)” by Sampling Masters MEGA (from Power Drift)
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
