Seed Science At Crossroads – Door County Pulse

A luminary-lit thankfulness hike will take off from Crossroads at Big Creek on Friday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 6:30 pm. Guests walking along the illuminated trails are encouraged to reflect on what they are grateful for.

A Saturday Science program on Nov. 15 at 2 pm will focus on seeds. If the weather allows, this will be an outdoor program exploring how wildflowers and trees disperse their seeds. The event is geared towards elementary students, but all ages are welcome.

Crossroads will screen an educational movie about crows on Monday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 pm.

The next day, Tuesday, Nov. 18, an Environmental Exploration program at 2 pm will focus on fossils. Attendees at this all-ages after-school program will learn the basics of fossil identification and receive a free Door County fossil pamphlet.

Next, a naturalist-led Wandering Wednesday hike sets off from Crossroads on Nov. 19 at 1:30 pm.

Events meet at Crossroads’ Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
