There are nearly a quarter million Greek Americans in New England, and this April, Boston marks a major celebration of independence and heritage!
Celebrating its pearl anniversary, this parade honors three decades of preserving and promoting Hellenic heritage in Boston! The 30th annual Greek Independence Parade returns to Boston’s Back Bay on Sunday, April 26, just one weekend following the Boston Marathon!
For the first time in 25 years, the parade welcomes the Presidential Guard of Greece (Evzones). The return of the Presidential Guard of Greece marks a symbolic moment, honoring the unbreakable bond between the Greek-American community and the New England Greek community, with over 200,000 Greek Americans in the region—with Boston among the largest Greek Independence Day celebrations in the nation!
The parade will be presented by the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of New England (FHASNE), supported by the City of Boston.
