COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Double Churches Elementary School invited families to an interactive math, science and technology night featuring a game show-style event.
‘Are You Smarter Than a Wildcat?’
The event, titled “Are You Smarter Than a Wildcat?”, was modeled after the popular game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” and featured grade-level questions drawn for students and families. The event was open to all third- through fifth-graders.
STEM rotations and state test prep
The night also included interactive math, science and technology rotations. The event was described as an opportunity for students to learn and grow alongside their families and to help prepare for the Georgia Milestones Assessment System, known as GMAS.
A Double Churches Elementary representative said the goal is student growth.
Students were also encouraged to wear green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
