Organizers say MudFest breaks open the thaw with toe-tapping tunes and community spirit, and just enough chaos to wake the soul.
Events include the MudBall, which encourages shaking off winter through music, movement, and joyful mischief, musical chairs , and One Day Choir, which is a playful, feel-good sing-along.
MudFest runs from Thursday through March 29. There are events in Portland, Freeport, and Brunswick.
