Nobody understands fashion’s transformative powers more than Doja Cat.
Since rocketing to fame in 2020, the singer—and Vogue’s April 2026 cover star—has developed a distinct sense of personal style marked by camp, surrealism, and—yes—plenty of animal print.
Early on, Doja embraced ’70s glamour, like the sparkling Georges Hobeika dress she wore to the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, or the Cher-esque Brandon Maxwell number she wore to the iHeart Radio Music Awards that same year. But eventually, she settled into her now-trademark offbeat tastes. At the 2022 Daily Front Row Awards, she traded in the sexy sheer looks for a Viktor & Rolf couture suit with oversized, sculptural shoulders. But surrealism, she’s proved, doesn’t have to mean wacky—just look at the sleek black Schiaparelli dress she wore in 2022 to the Billboards.
Over time, she’s managed to make her style work for every occasion, striking the balance between the over-the-top and the glamorous. Take the 2025 Oscars, where she walked the red carpet in a crystal-covered leopard print dress from Balmain. While it wasn’t a traditional Oscars dress, it certainly represented her take on awards dressing. Later on, for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, she opted for a figure-hugging gold look with a trompe l’oeil body embroidered onto the gown.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Doja Cat is also a highly anticipated Met Gala attendee. Lest we forget her first appearance in 2023, when she honored Karl Lagerfeld by dressing as his cat, Choupette—feline facial prosthetics and all. From there, she’s tried out the wet dress look in Vetements and nodded to her catlike energy in Marc Jacobs.
Here, in honor of Doja Cat’s Vogue cover, take a look back at some of the singer’s best looks.
