Canada’s Cooke Group lands Avramar Greece after all

Avramar Greece, the largest fish farming company in Greece, is finally heading to the Cooke Group, as creditors, making a 180-degree turn from the decision they had taken on February 12, have decided to proceed with exclusive negotiations with the Canadian giant.

The Cooke Group, the largest unlisted group in the world in the aquaculture sector, and the creditors signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday evening which provides that the agreement for the transfer of Avramar will be finalized in the next two weeks, with the price for the acquisition of the loans at €200 million.

The money is expected to be paid within 120 days.
