North London artist Eaves Wilder has shared her new single “Mountain Sized”, the latest glimpse of her forthcoming debut album Little Miss Sunshine, due 17 April via Secretly Canadian. Written during a period of uncertainty about identity, purpose, and direction, the track sees Wilder confronting herself with unflinching honesty. Drawing inspiration from Lily Allen’s The Fear, she describes it as “just one woman casually listing all the worst things about herself, the kind of stuff you should be way too embarrassed to admit. Going even further, to come across as shallow and unlikeable as possible. It was like a last roll of the dice.”

“Mountain Sized” moves from intimate, soft moments into a fuller, guitar-driven arrangement, anchored by the line: “In my mind / But in my mind / I am taller than the highest mountain sides.” The album was written, arranged, and produced largely in isolation, with Wilder developing the record from her shed. “I want to make worlds now,” she says, reflecting on the creative process.

Looking back on the year-long journey, Wilder adds: “I walked into the shed not knowing who I was, came out a year later holding the album knowing exactly who I am: I had learned how to be an adult, how to make a world inside of myself and then push it out.” The record is co-produced by Andy Savours, helping bring her intimate, self-reflective vision to life.
