The Greek National Tourist Organization (GNTO) office of the United Kingdom & Ireland has won the bronze award in the category “Tourist Board Partner of the Year 2025”, at the annual ceremony of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) – The Specialist Travel Association of Great Britain.
According to the announcement, the top choices in all categories were determined after a vote by AITO members, while the award ceremony was held in London on March 17, 2026 with the participation of 250 representatives of the Association, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of AITO.
The Greek award was received by the head of the GNTO Office for the UK & Ireland, Eleni Skarveli, who, among other things, noted: “This is a particularly honorable distinction for the GNTO in London and a substantial recognition by the British tourism market of our work and effort to promote Greece. The collaboration with AITO and niche tour operators is today more important than ever for the implementation of the GNTO’s strategy, aiming to promote the ‘alternative Greece’ and lesser-known destinations throughout the year, through the enrichment of the tourist product with an emphasis on experiences.”
