Welcome along to another weekly look back at everything new added to Netflix in the United States. An exceptionally busy week of new arrivals, particularly on the licensed side of things, with the arrival of all of the SAW movies, among other titles. Below, we’ll recap all 45 new titles that dropped, pick out a few we think you should be watching, and run through what’s been trending in the daily top 10s in the United States throughout the week.
Still lots more to look forward to throughout the remainder of March. This week, we learned that the new 28 Years Later movie, along with a few other Sony titles, will hit your screens before the month comes to a close. As for April, no official list yet, but we’re tracking everything here.
Best New Movies and Shows on Netflix This Week
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)
Type: Movie
Genre: Crime, Drama
Cast: Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth
By order of the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby is finally back. Cillian Murphy steps back into his iconic role in this highly anticipated feature-length continuation of the beloved Steven Knight series. Set against the dangerous backdrop of World War II, the film follows Tommy as he navigates a new era of global conflict, shifting alliances, and high-stakes family drama. If you were a fan of the original six-season run, this visually stunning, gritty cinematic event is an absolute must-watch for your weekend.
In our review, where we gave the film a 3.5-star rating, we concluded, “The Immortal Man may not entirely live up to the heights that Peaky Blinders soared to at its peak, but, in a way, it’s not supposed to. It’s a reminder that Thomas Shelby achieved what he could because he had a family to back his play, set him straight, and give him something to live for. This movie gives him redemption; a taste of what he was before the war and a glimpse of what he could have been as a father if he wasn’t destroyed by the war.”
BlackBerry (2023)
Type: Movie
Genre: Biography, Comedy, Drama
Cast: Jay Baruchel, Glenn Howerton, Matt Johnson
One of the best-licensed pickups of the week is this critically acclaimed biographical comedy-drama charting the meteoric rise and catastrophic, spectacular demise of the world’s first mass-market smartphone. It’s fast-paced, incredibly funny, and features an unhinged, award-worthy performance from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton as the ruthless co-CEO Jim Balsillie. If you enjoyed fast-talking corporate biopics like The Social Network, Tetris, or Air, this will be right up your alley. It’s just the movie that landed and not the extended AMC limited series, sadly.
The Ricky Gervais Show (Seasons 1-3)
Type: Series
Genre: Animation, Comedy
Cast: Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Karl Pilkington
Adding some classic animated comedy to the licensed lineup this week, all three seasons of The Ricky Gervais Show have landed on Netflix US. Featuring the hilarious and often entirely baffling conversations between Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, and the utterly unique mind of Karl Pilkington, this animated adaptation of their record-breaking radio show and podcast is absolute comfort viewing. It’s the perfect easy binge-watch if you just want to sit back and have a good laugh this weekend.
Son of a Gun (2014)
Type: Movie
Genre: Action, Crime, Thriller
Cast: Ewan McGregor, Brenton Thwaites, Alicia Vikander
Finally, if you’re in the mood for a gritty, fast-paced heist thriller, this 2014 Australian import is well worth your time. It’s been on Netflix before, with its last stint being over seven years ago.
The film stars Ewan McGregor playing wildly against type as Brendan Lynch, a hardened, notorious armed robber who takes a young protégé (Brenton Thwaites) under his wing while behind bars. In exchange for protection on the inside, the young inmate must help orchestrate a daring prison break once released. Naturally, things escalate, pulling them into a high-stakes gold heist where alliances are constantly tested, and no one can be trusted. Co-starring Alicia Vikander, it’s an underrated, action-packed hidden gem that’s yet another A24 classic now streaming for a limited time.
