LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers reacts during action against the Miami Heat.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James continues to expand his luxury portfolio off the court, unveiling a one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Maybach S 680 customized through the brand’s exclusive MANUFAKTUR “Made to Measure” program.
Mercedes-Maybach highlighted the build on its official Instagram account, emphasizing the level of personalization involved in the project.
“When @kingjames shapes his personal Mercedes-Maybach, perfection is guaranteed,” the brand wrote in its post, adding that the vehicle features “deeply personal design touches like his own logo.”
The custom S 680 is finished in MANUFAKTUR exclusive light ivory non-metallic and is one of two individually configured Maybach models created for James. According to the brand, one vehicle is already part of his personal collection, with another expected to be revealed at a later date.
The Maybach S 680 represents the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz luxury, combining handcrafted interiors, advanced technology and a powerful V12 engine — aligning with James’ reputation for excellence both on and off the court.
A Car Collection Built on Luxury and Performance
James’ latest addition further strengthens what has become one of the most notable car collections among professional athletes.
In 2024, The Sun highlighted that James’ collection includes more than a dozen high-end vehicles, blending European supercars with American classics and ultra-luxury sedans.
His garage features a wide range of luxury, exotic and custom vehicles, reflecting both performance and personal style. Among the most prominent cars linked to his collection are:
- Lamborghini Aventador Roadster (custom-designed)
- Porsche 918 Spyder (limited-production hypercar)
- Ferrari 458 Spider and Ferrari 430 Spider
- Rolls-Royce Phantom
- Bentley Continental GT
- Mercedes-Maybach 57S
- Chevrolet Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger SRT
His long-standing relationship with customization is a defining element of the collection, with several vehicles tailored to his size, branding and aesthetic preferences.
Longevity and Lifestyle Continue to Align
While James continues to build his off-court portfolio, his on-court production remains elite deep into his 23rd NBA season.
In Thursday’s 134-126 win over the Miami Heat, James recorded 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists — his second triple-double of the season and the 124th of his career.
The performance came on the second night of a back-to-back, following a 30-point outing against the Houston Rockets.
Despite arriving in Miami at approximately 5 a.m. and undergoing treatment for his arthritic left foot throughout the day, James delivered another all-around effort as the Lakers extended their winning streak to eight games.
Historic Durability Continues to Define Career
James also reached a historic milestone, tying Robert Parish for the most games played in NBA history with 1,611.
Parish praised James’ longevity and discipline, noting that his approach to fitness and preparation has allowed him to remain productive at age 41.
“If anyone is deserving,” Parish told ESPN, “it would be LeBron James.”
James has long emphasized availability as a cornerstone of his leadership philosophy, consistently prioritizing durability and conditioning throughout his career.
Legacy Extends Beyond Basketball
As James continues to add milestones on the court, his influence off it continues to grow — whether through business ventures, branding or lifestyle investments.
The custom Maybach S 680 reflects that evolution, blending exclusivity, personalization and status into a single statement piece.
With a résumé that already includes four championships, four MVP awards and the NBA’s all-time scoring record, James’ ability to maintain elite performance while expanding his global brand remains one of the defining aspects of his career.
From historic longevity to curated luxury, James continues to redefine what it means to be a modern superstar — one NBA record and custom creation at a time.
