
LANSING, Ill. — Seventh- and eighth-graders at Memorial Junior High School took home medals at the regional science fair competition at North Central College on March 14. Five students, representing four projects, qualified for state.
This is eighth-graders Ali Leal and Victoria Apata’s second time going to the state science fair, Lansing School District 158 Superintendent Nathan Schilling noted at Wednesday’s school board meeting.
The state competition is April 24-25 at South Illinois University Carbondale. Schilling said they would host a pep rally and send off for those students April 23.
